I.OVERVIEW OF ENTIRE CLASS

 Welcome & Introductions

  • Fire Safety / Fire Lays
  • Build and ignite a safe fire
  • Build a cook device
  • Prep, cook and eat lunch
  • Recap and final exam 

 PARTICIPANT INTRODUCTIONS - Tell your name, hometown, and off-grid cooking experience

 FIRE SAFETY

  • Always use a fire ring made of rocks 
  • Gather all materials before lighting
  • Secure hair and clothes 
  • Have water ready 
  • “One-match” fire
  • Ventilate well
  • Never abandon a lit, smoldering, or warm fire
  • Always extinguish a fire before leaving
